The Utah Thoracic Society , formerly called the Intermountain Thoracic Society, is a chapter of the American Thoracic Society that serves the Intermountain West: Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.
We organize CME-accredited educational conferences, professional networking, and career advancement. We advocate on behalf of lung health issues in the Intermountain West.

Krishna Sundar
PresidenT
Dr. Sundar is a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine physician. He directs the Sleep-Wake Center at the University of Utah and directs multi-disciplinary clinics in sleep apnea and in chronic cough.
Sarah Beesley
President-Elect
Dr. Beesley is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Intermountain Medical Center. She is the Medical Staff President for Intermountain Health.
Jeanette Brown
Vice President
Dr. Brown is a pulmonary and critical care physician at the University of Utah. Her areas of interest are chronic respiratory failure and neuromuscular disease.
Denitza Blagev
Secretary-Treasurer
Dr. Blagev is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Intermountain Medical Center. She is also the Senior Medical Director for Community Hospitals at Intermountain Health.
Sean Callahan
Government affairs representative
Dr. Callahan is a pulmonary and critical care physician at the University of Utah. His clinical and research interests include care for patients with interstitial lung disease.
